Product Safety and Chemical Compliance Information
At PlugNGrill, we prioritize the health and safety of our customers. We are dedicated to ensuring that our products meet or exceed all applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements. Our commitment to product safety is unwavering, and we believe in providing clear and accessible information about our products.
California Proposition 65 Compliance
California's Proposition 65, formally known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986—requires businesses to provide warnings if their products expose consumers in California to chemicals known to the state to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This law applies to both in-store and online sales into California and covers more than 900 listed substances.
Lead and cadmium, for example, are naturally occurring elements that can be present in certain materials. We ensure that any trace levels remain well below regulatory safety thresholds through rigorous testing and quality control.
Product Testing & Safety
To ensure compliance and safety, key components of our Turbo E Outdoor Electric Grill have undergone rigorous laboratory testing:
Turbo E Grill Grid (Porcelain Coated)
- Tested for leachable lead and cadmium.
- Results show lead < 0.05 μg/mL and cadmium < 0.01 μg/mL.
- These levels comply with US FDA and California Tableware Safety Law standards.
- Based on current results, no Proposition 65 warning is required for this component.
- Testing was performed according to California regulatory guidelines by independent laboratories.
Turbo E Warming Rack (Stainless Steel)
- Constructed with stainless steel containing 18.4% chromium.
- Meets US FDA GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) standards for food-contact materials.
- No Proposition 65 listed chemicals were detected at levels requiring a warning.
State Chemical Disclosure
Based on laboratory analysis, neither the Turbo E Grill Grid nor the Warming Rack contains hazardous chemicals at levels requiring disclosure under applicable state chemical laws.
All materials used in the Turbo E Grill are carefully selected to meet high standards of durability, performance, and safety.
We also continuously monitor and review our material sourcing and component compliance to ensure ongoing alignment with U.S. and California safety standards.
